Amy was born in Victoria, BC and graduated from the University of Victoria in 2004. After graduation, she spent several years in Asia working in the education field in a range of teaching and administrative roles. Upon returning to Victoria in 2012, she started her own tutoring business and worked as an academic administrator at a local English language school. While Amy still enjoys working with international students, she has expanded her scope, offering communications and administrative assistance in the health care and non-profit sectors. Joining Oak Bay Volunteer Services in September 2018 as the Administrative Assistant was a natural fit for her. The role marries her administrative skills with her values of volunteerism and giving back to the community.
When Amy is not in the OBVS office, you can find her volunteering as an activity companion at Mount St. Mary Hospital or running around Victoria in preparation for her first marathon. She enjoys getting to know the volunteers and clients at OBVS and is looking forward to future workshops and events.
