Executive Director
Kara is a passionate leader who joined us in early 2024, with a leadership philosophy rooted in community, engaging passion, cultivating purpose, and empowerment. Her long established non-profit career began providing support and advocacy in long-term care near her hometown in Alberta. Since that time Kara has applied her Counselling and Addictions background, paired with her Masters in Leadership, to cultivate community, inspire passion-based purpose, and advocate for positive systemic change wherever she serves. Outside of work she can be found wandering barefoot on local trails, reading a good book, or playing board games with loved ones.
